Barnsdall Art Park
Did you know that there is a world-class art gallery right here in Little Armenia? Barnsdall Art Park, which sits, almost secretly, on top of Olive Hill near the intersection of Hollywood and Vermont, has hosted local and international art exhibits for decades within its main facility, the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery.
This unique park, which offers breathtaking views of the city and the Hollywood Sign, is also home to the Junior Arts Center and the famous Hollyhock House that was designed in the 1920's by the internationally acclaimed architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Although Barnsdall Art Park was closed for remodeling the past three years, it was officially reopened on June 4, 2003, with a brand new visual and design art exhibit that will run through July 27.
